Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Burberry, Dior, Armani, Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton are denying and distancing themselves from the activities caught on camera of farm workers bashing sick rabbits to death, crippled, diseased and severely wounded rabbits left to suffer in small, crowded cages with hard metal bars for floors with no medical treatment, or rabbits being bludgeoned to death or slammed to the floor before being skinned. And there are many rabbit farms like this in Europe. Let’s hope that with the media attention, more and more people will become aware of the horrible animal cruelty involved in the fashion industry, and stop buying these products. The Spanish hunters (galgueros) want to raise one million signatures to request UNESCO to class hunting with galgos as World Cultural Heritage. The horrible fact is that each year, after the hunting season, more than 60,000 hunting dogs are abandoned or tortured to death in Spain. Before being dumped or killed, the galgos spend their lives in unbelievable neglect and misery. It would therefore be a complete disaster if hunting with galgos would become a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. A petition has been made to call upon UNESCO to reject any application. Please sign and share widely – TORTURE IS NOT CULTURE!
